Title: Problem with theatres & movie halls today (Dhurandar)
Post by: Ansh on Mar 24, 2026, 10:58 AM
Since Dhurandar is becoming a cult classic among the younger generation, I feel most people aren't ready for such films. I'm not talking about politics; my concern is basic civic sense and a bit of thoughtfulness. Dhurandar is an A‑rated movie, both parts have intense gore and strong language – definitely not suitable for kids. Yet I keep hearing about people arguing at ticket counters for their children, even bringing infants or toddlers to watch it.

As a movie lover, I get irritated by even minor disturbances, which is why I prefer going on weekdays to avoid crowds. Nobody wants to hear a baby crying or a foot kicking their seat while they're trying to enjoy the show. From people shouting about office meetings on the phone, women chatting loudly, couples explaining every scene to each other, etc. I love when audiences enjoy a film – whistles, claps, cheers – but please, buddy, no business calls about clients during the movie.

This problem exists in every type of cinema, from low‑budget single‑screen halls to upscale multiplexes and even director's cuts. Maybe it sounds like a rant, but I just hope someday everyone understands basic movie‑watching etiquette. Anyone else faced these issues, or am I the only one blowing my horn?

The audience behaviour in our cinemas is downright embarrassing and shameless.

The venue may change, but our civic sense stays the same.

Even if it were inflight entertainment, people would still get up and walk out...

I don't think you understand what a cult classic actually means.

I totally relate! Any disturbance during a movie just blocks us from fully immersing in the film.
