Title: Bio career options for PCB student?
Post by: Harshit on Jun 30, 2026, 08:44 AM
My qualifications: 18F, 12th pass (PCB) - 81%.

Guys, please suggest biology‑based courses for a PCB student.

I'm not very good at Physics or Chemistry, so I'd prefer courses that are more Biology‑oriented. I'm open to both undergraduate degree options and career paths.

If possible, please mention:

- The course name
- Scope/career opportunities
- Whether it's worth pursuing

I'm feeling quite confused about what to choose, so any genuine suggestions would really help.

Thank you in advance!

You could pursue a degree in genetics, biotechnology or bioinformatics (if you like working with data). Another option is environmental science - it's a broad programme and you can specialise in the biological side, like ecology or conservation.

22F here. I'm planning to go into bioinformatics after doing my bio from DU. Traditional biology doesn't have much industrial space, so you might not get many jobs. Consider something like nursing, etc. We can have a detailed chat about your career - let me know what you prefer.
