How can someone leave India without going for higher studies? I don't want to take an education loan and get into debt, but I can't bear staying here any longer.
Has anyone managed to get a job abroad straight away? Please share your advice.
EDIT: I already have a master's degree, so don't suggest illegal border crossing or working as a domestic help.
Let me know if you figure it out. Is it even worth it? Many western countries are tightening immigration - the US has ICE, the UK has grooming‑gang concerns, Canada has Khalistani issues, Ireland is pricey, and Australia faces a housing crunch.
You could continue your higher education in India, upskill in your field, and then aim to move to Taiwan.
Just cross the border and you're out!
Realistically, you need luck and a lot of networking abroad.
First, build a network through family, friends, or even strangers on social media from other countries and stay in touch. Keep exploring opportunities; if luck brings one your way, take it. Don't be desperate - plan carefully, as it may take years. If it doesn't work out, you may have to stay here.
Get a passport, fly to a country that offers visa‑free entry and has relaxed immigration rules, and just disappear. A few dollars can get you across many African borders without a visa or passport. If your goal is simply to leave India, that's doable.
If you need a livelihood, consider joining the merchant marine if you're not keen on further studies.
If you're a nurse, your chances are high. Healthcare workers - doctors and nurses - are the most frequently hired.
Do you really think anyone will hire you across the border when your country doesn't export anything? Think about it - are people overlooking this?
Find a job on a cruise ship and gradually work your way to another country.
Learn a foreign language such as Japanese or Korean. Those countries have a labour shortage and welcome immigrants. I'm learning Japanese myself.
Leaving the country isn't the problem; the quality of life you'll get is. If you're not from a wealthy background, forget about western nations. Some suggest Japan or South Korea, but as a brown Indian you'll face challenges because they're not very welcoming to people of colour - they tend to favour white foreigners.
