Title: Rooting Xiaomi 17 Pro Max with Claude went badly

Someone used Claude to root the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max and it didn't turn out well.

Use the Mi Flash Tool, download the correct fastboot firmware and flash it.

That message appears when you modify the system and try to lock the bootloader. Just unlock the bootloader again.
