MP has the highest infant mortality rate in India - about 40 deaths per 1,000 live births - even worse than many African nations. Kerala's rate is only around 5. During a Congress rule, there was a plan to give eggs to kids through Anganwadis to boost nutrition, but strong protests from parts of the Jain community and some BJP leaders stopped it. Most of those opposing are well‑off and their own children never rely on government Anganwadis, yet their religious beliefs are dictating what poor children can eat. Religion should not be forced on others, especially when it harms vulnerable children's health. Millions of Indian kids never reach their full potential because of malnutrition during crucial growth years. It's maddening to see nutrition and public health turned into religious and political battles when the priority should be children's well‑being. This country is messed up when people care more about religion than the health of little ones.
This just adds to the protein shortage in a population already lacking it.
That union minister from Nagpur runs a private beef‑export business. Supporters of veg meals must be eating eggs and meat for 'nutrition'. These leaders do the exact opposite of what they preach.
Anything that contains protein gets a line - 'This isn't our culture.'
Now: plain rice and dal.
Future: paneer rice.
Look at what they expect kids to do at lunch.

The government seems to want children to stay weak and poor - it's the same agenda everywhere.
Masoor Dal banned in WB mid‑day meals over protein - what's happening?
We're heading for a generation with higher diabetes and blood‑pressure rates, peak obesity, and GLP‑1 drugs selling like hot cakes.
