Hello everyone. I recently found out that I am not eligible to appear for the 2027 attempt (long story and a foolish mistake on my part). Now I feel like I'm staring into a bottomless pit - lost and completely depressed. Before I discovered this, in the excitement after prelims I had subscribed to a couple of courses, including Forum IAS MGP. The fee is huge for a middle‑class family, but I paid it. I am unemployed, a daughter of a single mother who is now retired. I lost my dad in 2006. Finances are a big problem, yet my mom funded these courses which are now useless to me because I can't sit for the exam.
The Forum IAS institute has agreed to refund me, but the money will go into my Forum wallet. The wallet balance can be transferred only to another Forum account, and I have no friends who can receive it to buy courses. So the money is stuck and I need it urgently. I am asking kind people here who want to buy Forum courses to contact me so I can transfer my wallet money to you. I can't thank you enough. As a goodwill gesture, I will give you Rs 1,000 less than the transfer amount. Forum IAS will already deduct 20 % as a fee, so I'm already at a loss; the extra Rs 1,000 is just a token of gratitude.
I paid Rs 30,600. They will probably refund Rs 24,544. I will transfer Rs 24,544 to you and you will return Rs 23,544 to me as a token of gratitude.
Please reach out and help a fellow out, instead of letting a money‑grubbing organisation profit.
As far as I know, Forum IAS does not allow transferring wallet balance or courses to another account. Do you have any written proof from them that they will permit the transfer?
Why can't you sit for the next attempt?
This sounds like a scam. Please arrange a face‑to‑face meeting for such deals. The OP doesn't need to take the Rs 2,000 cut if the buyer is genuine.

Consider filing a case in consumer court. You could also sue them for mental agony to try to recover the full amount. Get in touch with a lawyer or post this on r/legaladviceindia.
Hey, my situation isn't exactly the same but I went through something similar. I enrolled in online coaching from Study IQ and after a month or two realized it might have been a mistake. I understand the guilt of seeing your parents' hard‑earned money go to waste. I can't help directly, but I hope you get a resolution soon. Posting this for better visibility.
Why even cancel? Sell the whole course to someone.
