Mohd Salauddin (29), S/O Abdul Malik, resident of Majra Sila, Udham Singh Nagar, was arrested by the Uttarakhand STF for promoting radical ideology online and suspected cross‑border ties.

Chats on Telegram, Instagram and Signal contained material about jihad, martyrdom and anti‑national slogans, along with attempts to radicalise and recruit youths.

Authorities recovered a English‑made pistol, 5 live cartridges, 4 detonators and two AK‑47 cartridges.

Digital evidence shows discussions about storing and moving weapons and explosives.

He was allegedly in touch with a person operating from Malaysia on behalf of Pakistan, while plans for an unspecified incident were underway.

Investigators are also probing his connections with a resident of Rampur (U.P.), and STF teams have carried out raids in neighbouring states.
