Bhai, I've watched the whole thing, so let me break it down point by point.
The premise is solid, and the Bablu/Lalli dual-identity revenge angle feels pretty fresh for Hindi OTT. Anshumaan Pushkar carries the show on his shoulders; the guy has about 90% screen time, does most of it in silent acting, and still keeps you hooked. Kumud Mishra is in his usual powerful-uncle mode, and whenever he appears the temperature drops.
There are negatives too. The pacing drags in places, especially episode 4. The writing over-explains a few scenes where it should have shown instead. And Mahvash's role is underwritten - the performance is okay but the writing lets her down.
I'd give it 7/10. It's not a full-weekend binge, but a lazy Sunday afternoon works. Watching at 1.25x on E4 is also safe.
Yaar, people dismiss every serious show by saying 'pacing is slow' these days. Not every content has to be a fast-paced thriller. Satrangi is atmospheric; it builds up and takes time on character work. If you have a 30-second-reel kind of attention span, it'll feel slow. Keep patience and you'll see the payoff at the end.
Can we watch it with family?
Bhai, investing a weekend is easy, but justifying it to family is tough. If they watch it straight away, let me know; otherwise just delete it from your watch history quietly.
Is that Mahvash girl, the one with the Chahal scene a few days back? How's the show for her role?
If you liked Anshumaan Pushkar in Jamtara, you should definitely watch this. He's expanding his range and the Bablu/Lalli character might be his best work so far. It's worth it just for his performance.
For Kumud Mishra fans, this is a must-watch. He's on screen for only about 30 minutes total, but he dominates every scene. It's a different kind of enjoyment.
To compare, bhai, this show feels more like Maharani or Aashram than Mirzapur or Sacred Games. It's a slow political revenge story with family betrayals and caste politics. If you like that genre, you'll enjoy it. If you're a Mirzapur fan looking only for action, set your expectations accordingly.
Why are you 'genuinely' confused? It'll be good, bad, or just average. Nothing to be genuinely confused about.
