So guys, I totally messed up my motherboard while updating the BIOS. Listen up - I had a UPS but it still got bricked, and after a while when I turned my PC back on there was absolutely no power. The case fans aren't spinning, no debug lights on the board, nothing.

Haha, amateur move - I turned my 35000₹ laptop into a DIY kit by slapping some cheap conductive thermal putty on the motherboard.
Does your board have Q-Flash or something similar? That should still work and correctly reprogram the BIOS to fix the problem.
Have you tried restarting? Brother, that might help.

What about taking out the CMOS battery? That should reset the BIOS settings, right?

You can flash the BIOS straight onto the chip using an external programmer - check with a local PC repair shop.
Haha, I went through the same thing last month. I felt hopeless and regretted everything, but many repair shops actually fixed it. My board is now stuck on the very first BIOS version, so I'll need to update again. But don't lose hope!
Here's what I did: I created a bootable USB with the latest BIOS, plugged it in, hit the BIOS flash button, and after a few seconds the system rebooted. It worked! I'm thrilled - thanks everyone for the help.
