Hey folks, I'm really angry writing this. Today I ordered eggs from Henfruit Protein Max, and every single egg that arrived was fertilized. Can you believe it? All the eggs were rotten, smelled terrible, and we had to throw them out immediately and disinfect the kitchen. Now my question is, since Trustified has already marked Henfruit eggs as unsafe, where can we Indians get our eggs from?

From a local shop
Believe me, I'd be more upset seeing baby chicks die than dealing with spoiled eggs.
Free balut.
Now they're not normal eggs - they've turned into balut. *starts shouting 'balut, balut, balut'*
Yojana eggs are good.
Don't be scared. This is extremely rare, and most eggs bought in India are perfectly fine. What you saw in those pictures looks like a badly spoiled batch, maybe fertilized eggs that were left in heat for too long - not something that happens with everyday eggs. You don't need to panic about eating eggs or stop buying them. Just shop from a trusted nearby kirana store, supermarket, or vendor with good turnover, and always use your eyes and nose before cooking. If an egg smells sulfuric or rotten, looks discolored, unusually dark, or feels weird after cracking, toss it right away. Your senses are the best safety check for eggs and food in general.
Why are you all hesitating to buy from local stores? They're good and even cheaper.
Licious eggs are tested safe by Trustified, but they're out of budget for most people. Today I saw six eggs for 170 rupees on their app, so I ordered eggs from a nearby local shop instead.
I always get rotten or fake eggs from these startups.
I stopped buying Henfruit a long time ago. Out of every 10 eggs, at least four were rotten, even in the cold season. Since then I've switched to Noice by Swiggy.
