Title: Need affordable sunscreen suggestion
Post by: Aarti on May 22, 2026, 11:50 AM
When I step out with sunscreen, I still end up getting darker. I'm trying to fade the tan on my face, so I use a glycolic acid toner twice a week, but I think the protection isn't enough and my skin looks duller. I'm a poor student and can't afford to buy 2‑3 sunscreens every month.

I've tried:
- Sunscoop sunscreen
- Conscious Chemist – berry and sun drink
- Underated sunscreen – the one I'm using now

Please recommend a sunscreen that gives solid protection, lasts about a month, and is under 300 rs.

I miss how this subreddit was 2 years ago when folks actually answered posts.

I've been using Requil sunscreen. What I like is that it doesn't wash off easily with sweat.

What's your skin type? I use Deconstruct Oat Extract Ceramide sunscreen on my oily‑combination skin and it stops tan completely. You can get two for 599 rs, so each tube is around 300 rs or less with new‑user discounts.

Grab Neutrogena or Requil, and if you can splurge a lot of rupees, go for LRP.

I've been using Garnier's Super UV Gel sunscreen – it works great on my combination skin. You could also try L'Oréal's serum sunscreen; I've heard good things.

Neutrogena is pretty much your only option, but it does leave a white cast. And no sunscreen can stop you from tanning completely.
