I'm moving to RRB PO or IBPS, I'm fed up with this.
It might be smarter to quit banking and move into the insurance sector.
I don't have an issue with the job itself, only with overtime. I just don't want to work extra hours. A 9-5 schedule Monday to Friday is fine; I'm willing to do any legal work within those hours. Please don't force overtime on anyone.
When it was our turn to work, everything had to change.
SBI has felt like the worst job, but not for the reasons mentioned in that misleading article. The pressure at the branches will stay the same. In two years the chairman will change and something new will come. It sounds good when people say India is digitalising, but the shift will take years. Anyway, SBI is hiring CBOs and other specialist marketing posts.
On one hand the central government is raising salary + DA without any extra work pressure, while banks are on the other side...
People already see the SBI PO role as a job that consumes your life based on what we've heard. Now I think things will become even more complex for POs.
This has already happened, mostly unofficially, in many PSBs. No need to overreact to this news.
And then they wonder why employees keep resigning and complain about staff shortages while constantly trying to strip away basic employee rights.
