We export less and import more, and there's a clear reason - quality. Indian manufacturers or engineers aren't precise enough yet. Take DJI versus a Chinese drone maker from 2005; one is world-class, the other is just a copy. This may be the beginning, but it is a race where local makers can't afford to lose. We need to build electronics and products that people want worldwide - cars, gadgets, speaker enclosures. Yet we're hardly making any of those, and what we do make isn't export-grade.
