That's why movies like Dhurandhar are such a rare treat. Aditya Dhar took a huge risk making almost a 4‑hour film in the OTT‑driven, doom‑scrolling era, and still kept the audience hooked for the whole run. Ranveer Singh isn't a mega‑star like Prabhas or SRK, yet Dhar managed footfall close to 5 cr.

I really like him; he's open and frank—unlike most people in the film industry.

Rahul once tweeted, right after a few big hits, that maybe movies could get awards just for being made... Then he mentioned VD, Nani, AA, RC, Naga Chaitanya—saying a lot of them don't even pronounce things right. He's very outspoken, and I guess that's why he doesn't get many film offers.

Barbell would be the number 1 fan of this.

I think the only way theatres—especially single‑screen ones—can survive is either by getting multiple tier‑1 hero films each year or by consistently delivering small‑to‑medium content with good word‑of‑mouth. Right now neither is happening, which is why we're facing these problems. For average‑WOM films, price is a barrier, in my opinion. There was a time when people would go watch a movie regardless of reviews because tickets were cheap, and theatres survived on that.

If you keep making movies like this, what else do we need, Chintu?
