Hey folks, look after your health while you're prepping. If you're feeling extreme tiredness, constant brain fog, low energy, heavy eyes and the like, don't just chalk it up to stress or laziness. It could be a medical thing such as a vitamin deficiency or thyroid problem. Doing some basic tests can really help.

What tests did you get done?
I mean, did you ask for specific ones by name or just go for a generic panel?
Give some time to your body as well. Last year all my attempts failed because of health problems.
I have the same symptoms. What medication did the doctor prescribe you? Did it help?
You should also get a Vitamin D test. Take care.
I totally relate. I used to blame myself for being tired and unfocused during prep, but my Vitamin D was really low (14 ng/ml). After correcting it, my energy and focus improved a lot. Since we stay indoors most of the time, it's quite common and worth getting checked if you feel the same.
Exactly, I've also been suffering from brain fog and eye numbness for a year, and when I got a B12 test, it was around 211 pg/ml - on the low side.
But aren't they still in the normal range? Why would they cause problems if they're already normal?
Now it's just a matter of getting even more messed up - go ahead and join a bank if you like.
My TSH is 11 mg and Vitamin D is 5, this preparation journey is not easy at all.
I have hypothyroidism, and I'm about to start a GLP-1 injection for my insulin resistance due to PCOD. All these issues started from the stress of my previous job, which I left a year ago. I dread going through each day - I feel lethargic, tired, dizzy almost daily, but I push through because a secure job with better healthcare keeps me motivated. My parents are well off, but I'll have to live on my own someday, and it's tough being a woman.
