Title: Tinted Mineral Sunscreens - Oily Acne-Prone Skin - Ceuticoz Better?
Post by: Aarohi on May 05, 2026, 02:51 PM
My skin is oily, acne-prone, and sensitive with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). I break out easily, especially from chemical and hybrid sunscreens. They either irritate my skin or give me small clogged bumps. So, I switched to 100% mineral sunscreens. I prefer tinted ones for visible light protection, which helps with pigmentation and tanning.

Re'equil Sheer Zinc Tinted Sunscreen (SPF 50, PA+++)

I've used six tubes, so this review is based on long-term use. Initially, I liked it because it didn't break me out. The texture feels like silicone mousse, spreads easily, and gives a matte finish. But over time, I noticed issues. After a couple of hours, it feels heavy on the skin, especially in heat and humidity. The tint has a reddish undertone, which sometimes made my skin look dull. Removal was a challenge - if I didn't double cleanse, I'd wake up with clogged pores or texture. It never caused acne but never felt light or effortless to wear either. The PA+++ rating was a limitation for me since I'm in the sun for long hours and wanted stronger UVA protection for my pigmentation.

Ceuticoz Clear Zinc Tinted Sunscreen Gel (SPF 50, PA++++)

I found this while looking for a better mineral sunscreen. I liked the ingredient list and PA++++ rating. It comes in two shades, which was appealing. I've been using it for over a month now. The texture is lighter and spreads more easily than Re'equil. It feels more comfortable throughout the day. The tint is neutral and looks natural on my skin. It evens out my tone without making my face look dull. In terms of performance, it holds up well in the sun, is water-resistant, and doesn't cause breakouts or clogged pores.

Final Thoughts

Re'equil was my safe option for a long time. But for my current needs, especially long hours in the sun and managing pigmentation, Ceuticoz feels like a better fit. It's more comfortable to wear, looks better on the skin, and gives me higher UVA protection.

Great review. Will try this. Hoping the shade suits medium to dusky skin tones?

Hi, which shade do you use in Ceuticoz? Can you share the texture of the sunscreen? If possible, a face swatch. Thanks

Hi. If you're a woman, can you please tell your foundation shade? Also, have you used Qurez sunscreen? How does it compare to both Re'equil and Ceuticoz sunscreen?

Try Photon Zio sunscreen. It's a mineral sunscreen.
