Does it heat up? No, it stays around 37‑38 °C during normal use even in a non‑AC room in summer. During gaming it does get warm, just like any other phone.
Note: Around 40 °C is usually called heating, and above 42 °C is considered overheating for mobiles.
Any battery drain problems? Not really. I get about 10‑11 hours of screen‑on time (SOT) with regular use. With gaming the endurance drops depending on the title, but after moderate gaming I still manage 7‑8 hours of SOT.
The X6 Pro I used earlier did have heating and battery‑drain issues, but I haven't seen them on the X7 Pro or X8 Pro.
Poco markets this as a compact phone. It's not tiny, but the 6.59‑inch display with thin, uniform bezels makes it a bit smaller than typical 6.8‑inch phones and it feels comfortable in a medium‑sized palm like mine.
Feel free to DM me if you have any more questions about the phone.

How would you rate its smoothness and haptics in everyday use? Also, can the ads and bloatware be removed?
Hey, since this is a gaming phone, how does it handle long gaming hours?
I saw a review mentioning a washed‑out yellowish colour tone on the display. Did you notice that as well?
Is the phone actually that small, or is your hand just big?
In the first two seconds, I thought it was IP16.
My current phone is the Redmi Note 7 Pro, which doesn't have any app opening or closing animations. I'm planning to upgrade to the Poco X8 Pro Max and I have a few questions:
- How are the haptics, and does the phone feel different with or without a case?
- How is the battery life, and is there any lag when opening and closing apps simultaneously, during orientation changes on YouTube, app switching, or other basic tasks?
- Did you face any issues with banking or payment apps, NFC, and network connectivity (Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, internet)?
- How does it perform in games such as CoC, Brawl Stars, Roblox, Free Fire, Genshin, Call of Duty, Valorant, Wuthering Waves, and how is the thermal management?
- I know yours is the X8 Pro, but if the X8 Pro meets all these criteria, the X8 Pro Max should easily pass.
I'm hesitant about the X8 Pro because of battery, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and processor concerns.
Congrats on the phone! If you use it for three or four years, it should last well.
Thanks in advance for your answers.
My only question is: does it heat up when using mobile data while gaming outdoors?
Would you consider this a good phone for content creation?
What is the price of this phone? It looks similar to an iPhone.
Can you tell me about HyperOS?
