I feel the whole movie is cringe - no real story, just a mass-produced hero-worship flick.

Back then I didn't feel it, but now I agree. I liked KGF 1 for its world-building and the villain, and its ending lands. I didn't enjoy KGF 2 much - only the last 30 minutes were decent; nothing else stood out.

Both movies have aged badly, but the climax of part 1 was truly crazy.

Some scenes feel a bit over the top and borderline cringe.

It's best enjoyed in a theatre. I was in Kerala when KGF 2 released, and even the usually mature audience were screaming and jumping during the mass scenes.

True, most scenes are cringe, a few are borderline, and very few are watchable. There's no real story in either film. Part 1 is watchable, part 2 is terrible.

KGF set a landmark in storytelling; it really shines if you understand Kannada. Many films in other languages tried to copy this style but failed. It will never be cringe - in fact, it's a challenge for any filmmaker to nail such a narrative.

I didn't care back then; I went to the theatre just for fun, no logic needed, and man, KGF 2 was one of the best theatre experiences for me.

The whole idea of a single man being worshipped for his macho bravado is cringe.
