If you're planning a trip from Bangalore, put Nandi Hills on your list right away.
We reached around 6am and the whole hill was swallowed by fog. You couldn't see the valley from the viewpoint, but that made it ten times more beautiful. White wildflowers were blooming through the mist, people turned into silhouettes on the observation deck, and tall trees just faded into nothing - it felt unreal.
Quick tips if you're planning:
Leave Bangalore by 4:30am to catch sunrise
Visit during monsoon or post-monsoon (July-October) for this kind of fog
Entry fee is very affordable
Carry a light jacket - it gets cold up there even in summer
Weekdays are much less crowded than weekends
One of the most underrated day trips from Bangalore. These photos don't even do it justice.

The fog swallowing everything is one of those things you can't capture on camera no matter how hard you try - you just have to be there. The silhouettes on the observation deck look straight out of a movie. Adding this to the Bangalore weekend list right away.
Which spot in Nandi Hills was the trek-like area?
