Archive works well. Even after 25 years I'm still in my school and college groups, but I get zero notifications and no disturbance, just marked as present.

I recall a time when simply opening WhatsApp showed you as online to everyone – there was a lot of drama over that.

But there's still no improvement in deleting a message. What's the point of just showing that a message was deleted?
