The character showed great potential to be a compelling grey character - he was corrupt yet stood against a goon corrupting the whole system. But in the second part they turned him into a clown, ruining both the character and the actor. It's sad to watch his character.

Rule no 49: In Sir's movie, only Sir will shine and nobody else.
His character dropped from 100 to 0 in no time. That's a real head-scratcher from Sukumar.
In the second part, they really messed it up.
Didn't Fahadh have a disagreement about the script for the second part?
It's not about execution; the problem lies in the writing.
I'm pretty sure they did that so he wouldn't outshine AA in the sequel, since he already surprised everyone in the first film with just 30 minutes of screen time.
Hell yeah... when the first part's climax hit, we all went wow and were pumped to see what he'd do next, but because the film is hero-centric they ended up doing a character assassination. Buggers!
Part-2 was so bad, I don't get why it made 1200 crores.
I think Banwar exceeded what Sukumar expected, and to keep his character from overpowering Pushpa, they deliberately ruined Banwar in Pushpa 2.
The ending shown in part 1 set up part 2 the best they could. They had a chance for a Batman-vs-Joker style rivalry, but they blew it badly because of star power.
