Title: Please stay, talk & choose yourself
Post by: Arvind on Apr 27, 2026, 07:18 AM
I just read about the student in Kota and I don't have words... just this heavy feeling in my chest.

How did we reach a point where young people think an exam result is bigger than their life?

You're 16‑21. Your life hasn't even started yet. There are so many paths, so many chances, so many ways things can turn around, but in that moment it probably didn't feel like that at all. And that's the scary part.

To anyone reading this who feels even a little bit not enough because of studies, marks, or expectations, please hear this:

You are more than your results.

You are more than a rank, a college, or a comparison.

You are definitely more important than any exam.

Failing an exam is not failing at life. Taking a break is not weakness. Changing your path is not the end.

If things feel overwhelming, please don't keep it inside. Talk to a friend, a parent, a teacher, anyone you trust. And if you feel like there's no one, there ARE people who will listen.

Helpline Numbers:

• AASRA: +91-22-27546669 (24x7)

• Kiran Mental Health Helpline: 1800-599-0019 (24x7)

• Snehi: +91-22-25268677

• iCALL: +91-9152987821

• Vandrevala Foundation Helpline: 9999666555 / 18602662345

You don't have to go through this alone, even if it feels like you do.

And to everyone else, check on your friends. Sometimes the ones who look "fine" are struggling the most.

This system, this pressure... it needs to change. But until it does, we need to look out for each other.

Please stay, please talk, please choose yourself.

Kaun itna bekaar video pe gaana aur caption daal ke reel bana raha hai? Thodi respect bhi dikhani chahiye.

Mere parents aksar kehte hain 'kamzor log yeh sab karte hain'.

Pehle duniya ka sabse tough exam banaya, phir uska success rate less than 2 %. Uske baad 2‑3 saal aise dikhaya ki IIT/NIT/IIIT ya minimum CSE na mile toh zindagi barbad ho gayi, tum fail ho. Failure ka tag laga dete hain. Woh 2‑3 saal page‑after‑page padhate hain, lekin kabhi yeh nahi sikhate ki exam achha na ho toh phir kya karein. Hamesha bas yeh dikhate rehte hain ki achhi college na mile toh zindagi khatam. System ko badalna zaroori hai; government, coaching institutes, teachers – jo is system se faida utha rahe hain, unko bhi badalna hoga.

That bag holds a friend's memories, a son's moments. All those happy yaadein are now locked forever in that 6‑foot bag.

Alag feel hota hai jab parents khud kehte hain ki humari zindagi se unhe koi farq nahi padta, lol.
