I apply it to my dry lips at night, put on a thick layer, and then wash it off in the morning after giving it a good scrub, and it leaves my lips super smooth and moisturized
This stuff is amazing, I've been using it since I was a kid, it's great for lips, face, and hands, and it smells really good too

I love using it, I've even used it for slugging, but my friend's skin reacted badly to it, she uses vaseline for slugging and it works fine for her, but when I used vaseline I got painful cysts all over my face, so I guess it's not for everyone, my skin type is combination by the way, it gets dry in winters and oily in summers
