Title: 3 mo test: Chemist at Play vs Bodywise body washes
Post by: Naman on Apr 24, 2026, 10:13 PM
So I have tried both of these products for 3 months. If you're hunting for a decent body wash or stuck choosing between these two, here's a quick rundown.

Chemist at Play Body Wash - it gives a good lather with a loofah and has a mild vanilla-like scent. The texture feels a bit grainy but not harsh. The packaging is very basic and looks a little cheap. It claims to help with tanning, acne marks and bumpy skin, but it was disappointing. It left my skin dry and dehydrated, and I didn't see any real improvement for KP, acne or tanning. Even Dove feels better than this, and the smell isn't great either.

Bodywise Body Wash - this one is aimed at body acne and doesn't make big promises, which I like. It's milder and gentler on the skin. It has fewer ingredients but works better. The lather is decent, not as much as the first one, but enough. It gives a slight glow and can help with mild acne, but don't expect major results. The packaging is nicer with a pump and looks more premium.

I absolutely love Bodywise body washes. The AHA-BHA version actually cleared my strawberry legs, and I use the benzoyl peroxide one on my underarms to keep body odour in check. Totally fan!
