Found an old telephone in my store room, it sparked my curiosity. Swapped the built‑in LCD with one I had lying around, used a multimeter to figure out the keypad matrix and hard‑coded the pin values on the
ESP. Whenever the pins connect, that number gets registered and sent to a backend server which plays the corresponding track via the
Spotify API.
This looks fun, bhai—absolutely love it.
Man of culture.
A write‑up on this project would be a fun read. OP, please make it happen :)
Only people like this should become engineers.
Bro, just let it happen ❤️
Bob the Builder over here, lol—looks interesting.
This is the coolest thing I've come across lately!
I found a use case too! You know how kids mess around with anything they find at home and pretend‑play, sometimes even calling the neighbour 20 times on the intercom for no reason? Now you could give them a proper scare when they hang up, because nobody picks up—boom, jump‑scare! As a kid I used to do this whenever there was an ad on TV and the kids kept annoying everyone, so they eventually stopped it :(
Tame Impala gets you in the flow!
So freaking cool. Any blog or GitHub repo you can share? Would love to read about it.
