Sorry to say, Yes
You know what? I'm fed up with all of you acting all high-moral on your high horses. Haven't you seen teenagers doing this for generations? It's just a joke and kids don't see it the way you do.
Clearly OP has never seen such a group in their school. Every class has these cliques that make fun of almost everything.
Looks like you all are pretty lonely. Most of my friends used to tease each other and still be best friends in school. A fat guy is called 'fat' in our local language, a short guy gets a nickname too, but they're all friends. Nowadays people are scared to get close, they're trained to be corporate and self-censor. The more open you are, the closer you become. It's not a big deal; learn to take it lightly instead of being overly sensitive, otherwise people will just isolate you.
The film shows college students as idiots. There's a difference between that and movies like Thirupaachi or Sivakasi where Vijay slaps a girl and the film praises him for it.
Bro probably went to that perfect school where everyone is already mature like adults, even while still studying. Unfortunately, I didn't go to such a school, so I just laughed at the joke.
Either OP is in their woke-teenager phase or they studied in some posh high-end school. Appa peru leak aanale kalaaichu saavadichiruvaanga, sotta nu laam therinja avalo dhaan.
Still people find this body shaming thing as fun?
You don't have to look far

I wonder what the entertainment industry will look like in the next 20-30 years when everyone gets easily offended.
I've heard far worse stuff back in my school days, about parents I can't even repeat, and I've been bullied with even harsher insults.
