As a diehard Mammootty fan, I've always loved that other actors—including SRK—struggle to match Mammootty's final emotional speech in Katha Parayumbol (remade as Kuselan in Tamil and Billu in Hindi). But SRK's speech in Om Shanti Om is a rare exception that often slips under the radar because the film is a commercial masala entertainer. I'm not sure even Mammootty or Mohanlal could pull off something like that. I'm writing this now because the Academy has even recognised SRK. Take a bow, King! He deserves not just a National Award, but an Oscar.

The Academy seems to be losing its mind.
I don't get why they're bringing up Swades and Chak De when wishing a happy new year and all that.
