That background music for Jimmy Shergill's Arif Khan in A Wednesday (2008) is just so catchy.
Sir, I'm going mad!
You're not the only one, brother! You're not alone!
'You're making a mistake.'
'Actually, I kinda like making mistakes.'
Yes, yes, yes!!! I've searched YouTube for the full A Wednesday movie just to jump to this exact scene.
If anyone can find the full version, please let me know, or even a cut‑and‑looped version would be great.
You can hear this kind of background music in Ram Gopal Varma's movies too.
I really miss this desi background score... it felt so grounded and helped the audience connect. It also gave a chance to lesser‑known artists.
These days the BGM in movies sounds like a Marvel film – just loud bangs and unnecessary choruses.
Almost every film now has the same noisy background music.
Only need that scene, though!!!
Just watched the film yesterday and realised how much I miss that classic Bollywood vibe – a solid cop in a white shirt doing things his own way, and Jimmy Shergill nails it.
What a brilliant actor – he conveys everything with just his face and eyes, no dialogue needed.
TVF even made a joke about this in their Bachelors vs Dry Day episode.
