I ordered the COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence (100 ml) for ₹999 on Amazon India. It was a Prime listing with the Amazon's Choice badge and almost 98 K reviews – looked completely legit.
What arrived at my doorstep? A Cradleve Baby Food Feeder – literally a baby feeder, packed in a tiny skincare‑sized box.
This isn't a simple 'wrong item' mix‑up. It feels like a bait‑and‑switch scam by a third‑party seller using Amazon's platform. The product page looks genuine, which makes it even more dangerous.
What I'm doing:
- Raising an A‑to‑Z claim with Amazon
- Reporting the seller
- Leaving a 1‑star review to warn others
To anyone buying Korean skincare on Amazon India – please be extra careful. Stick to verified sellers or shop directly on Nykaa or Purplle where the risk is lower. I learned this the hard way.
Has anyone else faced this? Let me know if there's anything more I can do. This kind of scam needs to be shouted out loud.

Oh my God, I feel terrible for you. Sorry, buddy, this is awful. Did you manage to get a refund?
Sorry, I couldn't help but laugh a bit – that was such a curveball.
What's the customer care saying? Are they offering a refund?
Also, please avoid buying any Korean skincare from Amazon. Not only can you end up with fake products, but the prices are higher too. On Nykaa you can get the same thing for ₹800 or even ₹600 if you use points and vouchers, and you're guaranteed genuine items.
Really hope this gets sorted soon.
I'm really sorry, this is driving me crazy.
This is exactly why you'll see countless posts warning against buying skincare on Amazon. Fortunately, their customer care is quite responsive and should give you a full refund.
Do you have an unboxing video?
