Title: My experience with La Roche-Posay Vitamin C12 serum – anyone tried?
Post by: Rekha on Apr 07, 2026, 10:36 AM
My boyfriend got me the La Roche-Posay Pure Vitamin C12 serum, and I've been using it almost every night.

I'm not an expert on what it's supposed to do exactly, but I notice that the next morning my skin looks kind of glowy and moisturised. Not oily, just a healthy shine and not dry.

The texture is nice and absorbs well, and the smell is really good – fresh and pleasant.

When I first started the serum I saw tiny irritation‑type pimples on the sides of my face, but they disappeared after I kept using it, so I'm not sure if it was related or just a coincidence.

My skin wasn't very damaged to begin with, so I can't really comment on repairing damage or major brightening, especially since we see our own face every day and changes are hard to notice.

The price is a bit high though. I think it's around ₹4000 for a 30ml bottle.

I've also heard you're supposed to use vitamin C with sunscreen, but I've mostly been at home lately so I haven't been using sunscreen much.

Has anyone else tried this serum or other La Roche‑Posay products? What do they usually help with, and did you see good results?

Where did he get yours from? It's out of stock everywhere except Flipkart.

It looks oxidised, or maybe I'm missing something.

It's best to apply it in the morning and follow up with sunscreen.

Is that amount you're using appropriate? It seems a bit high, and the serum shouldn't smell fresh unless it has added fragrance, which I doubt.

I use the B3 plus retinol serum from LRP – very effective and far better than the Korean serums I tried before. I also bought a moisturiser from them. The only issue is that they're eye‑wateringly expensive in India.

I have dry, sensitive skin and Vitamin C serum doesn't work for me. I even noticed more small bumps all over my face after using it.
