A young doctor in Chandigarh walked out of a reputed private hospital on her very first day, citing ethical concerns. She says she was told to admit patients without need and keep them in ICU just to inflate bills. Apparently the hospital wanted her name on the records while a senior gynaecologist and the management made all the real decisions. Feeling she couldn't compromise on patient care, she left the same day.
