Title: Leave structure for bank clerk – details needed
Post by: Akash on Apr 06, 2026, 08:28 AM
I've been selected as a clerk in Bank of India. So, how many days of leave do we get? And if someone wants to go on a trip, can we take a lot of leave at once? Please share how you manage travel leaves.

Leave policy for clerks:
- 1 casual leave (CL) per month
- 1 privilege leave (PL) every 11 days
- You can take up to 4 CL together
- All PL can be taken at once with manager's approval
- CL and PL cannot be combined
- Additional leaves: sick leave, paternity/maternity leave, UCL (unclaimed casual leave from previous year), unpaid leave
- During probation only CL (and possibly sick leave) are allowed
- Leaves are usually credited once a year (first month) and more are added after probation
- Apply through HRMS; all clerk leaves need manager's approval

Think of the bank as a small shop—just the branch manager, one officer and two clerks have computer access and run things together. Peons and daily casual labour aren't counted because they don't have computer access. So, check how much leave you'll actually get, since the shop needs to stay open for the public.
