I'm a 17‑year‑old girl and I've just cleared my board exams with PCMB. I have many options, but I feel totally lost right now. Everyone around me seems to have their plans sorted, but I don't. There's huge pressure to pick the "right" path and it's really stressing me out.
I'm scared of making a wrong choice and regretting it later.
There isn't a single right path for everyone; the best one depends on your own passion and commitment. Feeling lost is completely normal and many go through it, so don't put extra pressure on yourself. It might help to talk to a career‑guidance mentor who can assess your aptitude and suggest options – whether it's a business venture or another alternative if you don't want to continue studying. If you're comfortable, drop a comment or DM and we can chat. Just don't overthink it; you'll figure it out without burning out.
If you're not leaning towards anything specific, consider an engineering or maths‑related course. In my view, biology doesn't offer much scope. I wish I had chosen maths, especially since I was good at it.
Everyone who claims to have it all figured out at 17 is just better at pretending, trust me. Take a deep breath – you have way more time than you think to discover your path.
