When it's finally our turn to get a job, the company starts laying off people, stops hiring freshers, mass hiring drops, AI like Claude is demanding extra skills.
This feels like the end.
The pattern's always the same – hire aggressively in a boom, overpromise investors, miss targets, lay off thousands, then re‑hire after 18 months at lower pay, and repeat.
I doubt AI made those roles redundant. It's disheartening to see social media pages still pushing that narrative when the real cause is probably poor management and shaky financial decisions.
